DISCIPLESHIP
Guide Church Discipleship
We as a church are starting a journey in 1 on 1 discipleship. We are excited to see God move, grow, and multiply as seen in Matthew 28:19-20.
Below are forms and tools for the discipler to use during their discipleship journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Initial Meeting
Reach out to your disciple and plan a specific day, time and place that you can meet.
Best to leave the discussion of discipleship in person (not over the phone or in your invitation to the initial meeting). Spend time in your initial meeting filling out the document about getting to know your disciple.
After finding out they are dedicated to do a weekly meeting plan out right then what day and time works on a weekly basis.
Flexibility
Sometimes your meeting will have to move to a different day or time that week. That is ok as long as you are meeting on a weekly basis. Be cautious from missing too many weeks together.
Find a place that nurtures honest and open responses between you and your disciple away from distractions. This can look like meeting in a coffee shop, a restaurant, or even your home.
We want anyone in our church to get the most out of studying their Bible. That means we want people to USE their Bible. We want them to underline, write notes, write questions and answers, to dive deep in His Word, and bring it to church with them. At Guide we use the New King James Version on Sunday so for someone to get the most out of their Bible as described earlier we encourage to use a King James Version or New King James Version for discipleship.
Do I Have To Buy A Bible?
If your disciple does not have a New King James Version or a physical Bible we have some at guest services that they can have.
Can They Use The Bible App?
The Bible App is useful for getting through a lot of the different scripture reading in the lesson quickly. Nevertheless, to encourage studying as described in the first paragraph we would like them to have a physical Bible.
