Julian was born in Winter Park, Florida and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina in a military family along with his two brothers. From an early age, Julian had a passion for Youth. He was a member of the North Carolina National Guard teen council, a volunteer for the Raleigh Boys Club of Wake County, where he met his to-be future wife, Raygene, and an undergraduate mentor at NC State where he finished his Bachelor’s degree.

Saved as a teenager, during the final years of his time at NC State, Julian began to feel God calling him to disciple young adults in ministry. Only a couple days after marrying Raygene in June 2018, Julian and Raygene, moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend Ohio State to obtain their doctorates in Materials Science and Engineering and Pharmacy. They found Guide Church in August of 2018 and immediately recognized it as a place where they could both spiritually grow. In November 2018, after serving in the Teen Ministry for 2 years, Julian accepted the calling God placed on his heart years prior by accepting the position of Youth Pastor at Guide Church.
